When God Is on Your Side, Opposition Cannot Stop You

Main Scripture: Romans 8:31 (NKJV)

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

Opposition is part of life. Sometimes, the moment you begin moving toward what God has prepared for you, resistance appears.

But here is the good news: opposition cannot cancel what God has ordained.

When God is on your side, the presence of opposition does not mean the absence of God. You may face resistance, delays, criticism, rejection, or unexpected challenges, but none of them are greater than the God who stands with you.

Joseph Could Not Be Stopped

Joseph is a powerful example.

God gave him a dream, but his brothers hated him because of it. They threw him into a pit and sold him into slavery. Later, Joseph was falsely accused and sent to prison.

It looked as though everything was working against him.

Yet behind the scenes, God was moving Joseph toward his destiny.

Genesis 50:20 (NKJV) says:

“But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good…”

The pit could not stop him.
Slavery could not stop him.
False accusations could not stop him.
Prison could not stop him.

Why? God was on his side.

God Is Greater Than What Is Against You

Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV) declares:

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper…”

Notice that the Bible does not say weapons will never be formed. It says they will not prosper.

You may be facing something today that looks stronger than you. Don’t measure your future by the size of your opposition. Measure it by the greatness of your God.

When God opens a door, opposition cannot permanently close it. When God has spoken concerning your destiny, human resistance cannot have the final word.

Keep Moving Forward

Don’t abandon God’s promise because things have become difficult.

Keep praying.
Keep believing.
Keep serving.
Keep obeying God.
Keep moving forward.

Psalm 118:6 (NKJV) says:

“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

Your confidence is not that everybody will support you. Your confidence is that God is with you.

Whatever you are facing today, remember:

If God is for you, what is against you cannot determine how your story ends.

Prayer

Father, thank You for being on my side. Give me strength to stand in faith despite every opposition. Let every resistance against Your purpose for my life give way, and bring Your promises concerning me to fulfilment, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
